How does it work
Erasmus+ programme is designed to enable the students studying for a short period (a semester or an academic year) as exchange students at our partner universities. The programme provides the funds to support your stay abroad. It is crucial to keep in mind that we do assume you have some funds to support yourself in Opole, so the scholarship is to be treated as an add on. The scholarship varies from year to year and country to country, but it ranges from 300 to 600 EUR per month abroad.
It is possible to select from various programme countries and many partner universities that are listed in our website. Once nominated you will spend a semester or two at the foreign university. You will select courses matching the ones you would have studies here in Opole – with the approval of your local coordinator to make sure the educational outcomes abroad will be recognized by the University of Opole.
It is also possible to find an institution (an organization, i.e. NGO or a company) from the program country that would be willing to accept you to a training as a trainee. Erasmus+ is designed for that also. It is advised to use your summer vacation for that, since unlike the semesters and academic years – the dates of the placement period are not fixed. The scholarships are similar to the ones for studying per month.
If you are beneficiary of any social support programme at the University of Opole, ask at the Erasmus office for more support from the programme funds as well.
How to apply
In order to apply for studies – answer the call once it is announced. Email the coordinator, include:
- Your name and the year, level and (if applicable) specialization of the studies.
- The name of the hosting university and the semester (or semesters) you want to apply for.
- Attach a cover letter.
- Make sure nothing is missing. The criteria for qualification are closely evaluated and will affect your ranking position:

- Your motivation and involvement (if any) in Erasmus programme at the University of Opole.
- Your previous mobilities (new to the programme are preferred).
